Web 2.0 Design
Web 2.0 design is an often used term when it comes to web development or webdesign.
Many people think that it means a certain visual style that more and more websites implement. There are some visual aspects that can relate to the term of web 2.0 but not the ones you think. Web 2.0 doesn’t focus on graphical design but on simplicity. Simplicity is the key to web 2.0. Try to focus on the simple things of your website.
Web 2.0 design is all about simplicity. How can we deliver more with less? The website must show us immediately what it is about. That is why the we choose to have a fewer but well-chosen graphic elements. We know what the people on our website are looking for, so we show them this in a simple way.I get a lot of questions about it and if I can redesign their website with a web 2.0 design.
Web 2.0 means focus, focus and focus
This will all be in a simple way, but not in a minimalist way. we should strip out the elements that are unnecessary for our website. There is always a way to put more on a page, but would it make the page stronger. That looks confusing. Let me explain a little more.
The result should be that the visitor has to look at the content and get what they were looking for that is what web 2.0 design is all about.
All designed stuff on your page attracts the visitor. The more there is, the more he will get sidetracked and the less he will notice the important stuff. So when you are designing a page the first thing you need to do is remover all unnecessary components. Concentrate on the page section that are less relevant to the purpose of the page and remove here all the graphic stuff because this will distract the visitor from the main content.
Use graphical design to communicate the relevant information on that page. Make sure this attracts the visitor and that the other design on the page doesn’t distract it.

When you need to choose your page design, I prefer to use the central position layout. You can position your website left, right, the whole screen or central. I always prefer the central look unless you have a good reason not to do this. Central look is easy to read and it keeps your focus better on the content.
Don’t use a lot of columns because it will take our focus away. Using fewer columns will feel simpler. Make sure that you have a top with a “bar” and that your logo is good visible there. So visitors will remember your site easier.

Make it User Friendly. |
The use of white space us very important. Not just visible but also for the readable of your text and website. Make sure your text is propped to the site and that there is enough of white space between paragraphs.
That was my thought on web 2.0 design, I would like to hear what the readers think of this and what their thought about the subject is.
